Trips

Mark Twain wrote, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness".

We have a long history of travel at LuMin.  In the past few years we have done many trips.  With COVID we are currently not offering any but hope to plan the next round soon!

Outdoor Immersion:  You'll never protect what you don't love.  And you'll never love what you don't know.  Backpacking in Montana, Wyoming rafting the spring flood of the Peshtigo, canoe tripping the Buffalo River in the Ozarks.

Spring Break Justice Immersion:  We spend a week on the sacred land of the Lakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation alongside the Native American Student Association of UW-L.

Thailand J-Term:  Offered every other year.  We travel to Northern Thailand to be guests of the Karen tribe and learn about a Karen lead ministry which empowers farmers to grow organic coffee and save the forest.

Czech Republic Summer Trip:  Travel to our companion church the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren in the Czech Republic.  Learn about how the Czech church defied a totalitarian regime and cared for the marginalized.
